I love starting the day with a smoothie – it’s quick, easy and you can get in all of your fruit and veggies right at the beginning of the day.

In this post, I’ll be sharing my three favourite smoothie recipes that I alternate each day of the week. The best thing about smoothies is that you can be totally creative with what you put inside, so feel free to adjust recipes to suit what you like!

The Ultimate Green Juice

This is the smoothie I have most days. Don’t let the colour put you off – it’s super sweet, yummy but also very good for you.

Ingredients

  • Handful of spinach
  • 1 small banana
  • Half an apple
  • Handful of pineapple chunks
  • Handful of strawberries
  • 100ml water

Simply blend it all together and you’re done! Feel free to substitute the water for a milk of your choice. You could also add a maca powder or a protein powder.

Berry and Chia Smoothie

This smoothie is probably the prettiest that I make, and you can decorate it to make it look even more Instagrammable!

Ingredients

  • 1 small banana
  • Handful of strawberries
  • Handful of raspberries
  • Handful of blueberries
  • Handful of blackberries
  • 10g of chia seeds
  • 100ml of oat milk
  • Mint leaves to decorate

It’s as easy as blending it all together! You can leave the chia seeds soak in water overnight to create a more pudding-like texture. You can decorate with mint leaves and any leftover berries.

Tropical Island Smoothie

This smoothie is great for the summer, or whenever you need to be transported to Hawaii!

Ingredients

  • Handful of pineapple
  • 1 small banana
  • Handful of strawberries
  • Peach slices
  • An orange, squeezed
  • 100ml coconut milk

Blend it all together and enjoy. Perhaps decorate with some pineapple triangles, coconut flakes and mini umbrellas!
