Spring has officially sprung – the days are getting longer, the evenings are getting lighter and the birds are singing. A new season also signifies something else…new self care ideas!
In November, I wrote my favourite winter self care ideas, and in this post, I’ll be sharing my top self care practices and routine ideas for the spring!
1.Take your workout outside.
Use the longer days and balmier weather to get your endorphins in the fresh air. I love to practice yoga on the grass when it gets warm outside, but you can take a walk, a run, or you could find an outside gym.
2. Buy some flowers and plants.
One of the best ways to welcome spring is to treat yourself to a bunch of colourful, spring flowers. You could also invest in a new houseplant – find my favourites here.
3. Eat outside.
Being able to eat outside is one of the best things about the spring and summer months. Take an outside table at your favourite restaurant, or make yourself a meal and eat in your garden.
A morning at a farmer’s market is like therapy for the soul – spend time wandering around, and pick up some seasonal spring veggies while you’re there.
5. Pretty up your garden.
We tend to spend more time in our gardens come spring, so make yours pretty by decorating it with fairy lights, bunting, and you can even invest in a couple of chairs and host a garden party for you and your friends.
6. Spring clean your house.
Use the new season to motivate you to declutter and clean up your space. Throw open the windows, air everything out and freshen up your home – check out my KonMari guide for inspo.
7. Eat lots of fresh food.
Have fun making lots of refreshing meals and snacks using seasonal fruit and veggies (from the farmer’s market!) Think lots of fruit salads, buddha bowls and fruity drinks.
8. Diffuse spring essential oils.
I’ve wrote so many posts detailing my love for essential oils and essential oil diffusers. In the spring, I like to diffuse fresh, fruity oils, mainly citrus scents like lemon and orange – both proven to boost your mood.
I hope you’ve enjoyed this post! Let me know your favourite spring self care practice!
Lots of love,
Natalie
